Signal Canary, Inc. ("Signal Canary", "we", "our", or "us") provides a deception-based security monitoring platform designed to detect unauthorized access to intentionally placed canary artifacts.

Canary event data is retained according to your subscription plan:

  • Free and lower-tier plans retain limited event history
  • Paid plans retain evidence for defined retention periods

Customers are responsible for exporting or preserving data beyond their applicable retention period.

DATA SECURITY

Signal Canary implements reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect collected information, including:

  • Encryption in transit
  • Access controls
  • Logical separation between customer environments

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Signal Canary does not guarantee prevention of unauthorized access, breaches, or data loss.

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

Customers are solely responsible for:

  • Lawful placement of canary artifacts
  • Compliance with applicable employment, monitoring, surveillance, and privacy laws
  • Ensuring use of the Service does not violate contracts, policies, or regulations

Signal Canary is not responsible for misuse, improper deployment, or unlawful monitoring conducted by customers.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Signal Canary may integrate with third-party services such as SIEMs, alerting platforms, or messaging providers.

Use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. Signal Canary is not responsible for third-party practices.

SMS COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT

By providing a mobile phone number and opting in, you consent to receive SMS messages from Signal Canary related to customer care and, where expressly authorized, marketing communications.

Non-Marketing (Transactional) SMS Messages

If you opt in to receive non-marketing SMS messages, you may receive messages related to:

  • Customer support and service communications
